Current Emergency needs

  • Joint supplements and probiotics
  • Spay/neuter donated services or funding for services
  • Dog food for large breeds - dry and canned
  • Funds to put up a building and set up fencing. We have a few acres, but it needs to be cleared and graded.

Who we are...

We are not an animal shelter, although most of our dogs come from shelters, where they are spayed or neutered and vaccinated.

Once the dog arrives here, our staff evaluates the health and social abilities of each rescued dog and then provides the needed care and training required to enable the dog to enjoy a new life with a new family.

About us...

Established in 2006, Ribseys Refugees is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founder Linda McCoy, a nationally-known expert in animal rescue, is dedicated to rescuing all breeds of dogs, but specializes in Pit Bulls and Black Labs, and their various mixes.

She chose these dogs because they are so often overlooked in the shelters, not only because of their breed, but also because of their color -- these dogs are often the first to be sent to a shelter and the last to leave.
